What is up?

This will be short...What is up? I am frustrated at all the different arguments and differences of opinions on the views of a christian! First of all, Jesus is not a view but a reality! Secondly, why OPRAH, do you and all those who follow her want to be even associated with christianity and heaven if you do not believe what the Bible says??? Get over yourself, and read the Bible, there is one way, Jesus, those who call upon the Lord will be saved! Jesus even says, I am the way, the truth, and the life! IF you dont want Jesus, than go and find another "view" to follow...I do pray for all those oprah followers, that the scales will be removed from their eyes, but dont try to change the Bible and the words in it, to your own benifit and liking...oprah and her followers say, that statement is narrow minded.....well, ok, so what? Again, the Bible states that the road is narrow to all those who believes in Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord, but wide is the road to those who dont! Explain that one, IF you watch Oprah, you are in danger of being confused and disoriented, get out why you can!.....I also am getting upset at christians that try to make church a place of business rather than a place of worship, but I will comment on that later. And that is the real deal!

I completly agree with you. This issue hits a nerve with me as well. I want to add some scriptual perspective to this:

2 Peter is a great book to read in regards to false teachers.

2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

I think verse 12 of 2 Peter, Chapter 2 says it best:

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption

I agree with you Travis. Oprah is not the only problem. There are many false teachers, Creflo Dollar, Joel Olsteen, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Juanita Bynum, etc...

The problem is not only do we have many false teachers but we have many churches that teach in error. Anything that is taught that does not bring Glory to God is wrong!

Let me say this a different way:
Any teaching that elevates man above God is false teaching. AND this takes place in many of our Southen Baptist Churches - no longer teaching theology nor Doctrins of Grace.

I guess I am done with my rant as well. LOL
